The plaintiffs also allege that in June 2016, the 1st defendant signed 172 bills which were falsified and were never sent to the clients and that based on these bills, cheques were drawn on the client account and eventually transferred to the 1st defendant. Mishcon de Reya was ordered to pay A$7.8 million (£3.8m) for its role in the secret deal, and has told RollOnFriday it will appeal the verdict.
